In these special episodes of the podcast, I’ll be chatting directly to freelancers at the coal face of the industry, exploring their experiences and tackling the topics that you perhaps don’t hear freelancers shouting about on the likes of Instagram.
In these special episodes of the podcast, I’ll be chatting directly to freelancers at the coal face of the industry, exploring their experiences and tackling the topics that you perhaps don’t hear freelancers shouting about on the likes of Instagram.
My first Frankly Freelance guest is Amber Bryce, a London-based freelance copywriter, journalist and strategist who has worked with clients in news, media and digital spaces including Twitter, The Times and Tesco.
Topics covered my chat with Amber:
✹ Her journey with crippling anxiety
✹ How this has affected her work life + mindset
✹ Coping day to day with anxiety whilst freelancing
✹ Why it’s STILL so hard for us to talk about mental health online and in the workplace
✹ Amber’s top tips for managing your mental health around running a business
“Money wise, I’m really anxious so having savings in case of an emergency comes up is a real relief. It also takes the pressure off so you’re not looking everywhere for work and possibly taking on things that aren’t right for you. It allows you a little bit more freedom with your choices, as well as backup for sick days and holidays”.
Thank you to Amber for being so honest and open about her journey.
